(From Glenn Beck's Blog--Election Night Review)
"Ellen DeGeneres says she is "saddened beyond belief" by the passage of a constitutional amendment in California banning gay marriage… "like millions of Americans, felt like we had taken a giant step toward equality" by electing Barack Obama as president…with the passage of California's Proposition 8, "we took a giant step away." One small problem: both Barack Obama and Joe Biden are against gay marriage. By the way, it was the republican vice presidential nominee that vetoed a bill that would have taken away benefits for gay couples. Yet, like the republicans being the party that passed the civil rights act, this is conveniently overlooked by the media."
And furthermore... a bit on Sarah Palin, for good measure:
"Those who were influenced by the presence of Palin voted for McCain 56-43. She helped, not hurt—despite the horrific treatment she received from the media. Remember, it was Palin’s job to lock up the base. A new poll from Rasmussen shows her favorability rating among republicans is 91%."
91%?! Who knew?
